For ADD/ADHD, Active Engagement is the Key
Students with ADD/ADHD benefit from the same type of technology that helps visual and kinesthetic learners, because the interactive factor keeps them interested and engaged. When they are actively engaging with the content, they are less likely to be distracted.
Brain-Training Games to the Rescue!
Students with Learning Disabilities, Processing Issues, and Memory Issues can benefit from the use of educational games. ‘Brain-training’ games are particularly helpful, because they help the student practice with various tasks (memory, logical skills, visual manipulation, etc.) in such a way where the difficulty level is gradually increased according to the student’s ability. These games also often include the factor of time, which helps students to comfortably increase their speed with tasks. You can read about some of my favorites in Brain-Training and Educational Games.
